Sally Bankson

"I am married to Larry Bankson and live on a farm by Hordville, NE. We have a grown son and daughter who both went to school at Central City Public School and still live in the area. I received my BA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Kearney State College. My education continued at various colleges throughout my teaching career. I was a teacher for 33 years and took early retirement in May 2019. My last teaching job was at Central City Elementary School where I taught 3rd grade for 10 years and 1st grade for 4 years. I began working at Central City Public Library in May 2019 as the Youth Services Librarian. I am responsible for anything that has to do with the youth(Toddlers-Young Adults). I enjoy working on programs for the youth in the library and making the library a welcoming place for them. I like interacting with the people in this community and especially all the patrons of the library. I think it is important for all of us on the Chamber to advocate for all the businesses in Central City and be role models for other citizens of Central City to "Shop Local". I try to connect the services of the library with area businesses and schools. "
