"I am active in the Central City United Methodist Church where I have done almost everything except play the organ and preach on Sunday morning! I am currently on the Central City Public Library board and the Litzenberg Long Term Care board and I volunteer at the Merrick Medical Auxiliary Thrift Store--all places where I feel welcome and have the opportunity to support what they do in our community."

Hometown:
I was raised in Callaway, NE but have lived in Central City for as long as I lived in Callaway.

Been Part of the Central City Community:
I came to Central City when my husband David accepted a teaching position at CCPS a lot of years ago. I completed my nursing education and worked at our local hospital before exploring other areas of nursing. I eventually returned to Litzenberg/Merrick Medical Center and retired in 2020.

Favorite thing about the Central City Community: 
What I like about this community is I see people I know at my church, at the grocery store, the library and thrift shop. I know their name and they know mine because that's the way it is in small communities. It is that connection with others when we can share conversations because we know about each other. Being a part of the chamber I really enjoy visiting our chamber businesses and discussing ways we can support each other and our communities.
