Friday, November 2nd at 4:30 pm - Merrick County 4-H will be celebrating the 2018 Fair year. Many 4-H members and Volunteers will be honored on this evening. The event starts off with 4-H Olympics at 4:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m., Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with pulled pork, nachos, tea and lemonade, Awards will be announced during dinner. After Awards, will be Bounce Houses and games. Attendees are asked to please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share The event is free. Thursday, November 8th at 6:30-8:00 pm - Game Night for Teens & Tweens at the Central City Public Library. Cool prizes! Play games! We’ll play games on our Nintendo Switch and also board games! Pokemon battles will be fought and cards may be traded!
Saturday, November 10th at 9:00 AM - Bader Park will be hosting its “Fall into Winter” Bird/Nature hike.Bill Whitney, of Prairie Plains Resource Institute, in Aurora, will guide the group through Bader’s cottonwood forest, wetlands, tall grass prairie and Platte River frontage.The hike will be leisurely and last approximately 90 minutes. Bird/Nature hikes are free and all ages are welcome.Please remember to dress appropriately for Nebraska weather. Participants are invited to enjoy free refreshments and conversation at the Bader Visitor Center following the hike.Please meet at the Center, a bit before 9:00am. For questions: email@example.com
